Action in behaviour

At Graphic Structures, we acknowledge our contribution to the climate crisis as part of the construction industry. As well as reducing the environmental impact of our designs, we have committed with the SME Climate Hub to:

  • Halve our greenhouse gas emissions before 2030

  • Achieve net zero emissions before 2050

  • Disclose our progress on a yearly basis

Having assessed and offset all emissions since our founding in 2016, we are proud to be Carbon Neutral and on our way to achieving our goals.

 

Action in design

In 2019, Graphic Structures declared a Climate & Biodiversity Emergency as signatories to UK Structural Engineers Declare, and are committed to reducing the negative impact of our designs on the planet, while increasing the positive impacts they can have on people and places.

We believe in early collaboration with Clients, Architects and Designers to discover the constraints and opportunities of a site, enabling efficient building forms that minimise embodied carbon while maximising performance.

We are passionate about maximising the social benefits of low-carbon design, from creating more biodiverse neighbourhoods to reducing fuel poverty. We have gained extensive experience developing innovative solutions for pioneering Passivhaus and Net Zero social housing projects, and share this knowledge through regular CPD sessions with our collaborators.
